Bilbao Airport is in Loiu, on the other side of Mount Artxanda. Through the Artxanda tunnels, the shortest way, it's about 7 kilometres from the centre: 10 to 15 minutes with no traffic. At rush hour, especially in the morning, it can take up to 25.
Fixed fare: transparency from the start of your journey
If you take a taxi from the rank without booking, the final price depends on the rate at the time, the traffic, the route and any supplements. That's why two people making the same journey can pay different amounts.
With a fixed-price booking, you know what you'll pay before you get in. With us, it's to or from central Bilbao on weekdays, with the Artxanda tunnels toll included. At night and at weekends the night rate applies, and you also see it before you book.
Where your taxi waits when you land
The taxi rank is on the arrivals level, at the terminal exit. If you've booked, there's no need to queue: your driver waits for you in arrivals with your name and, if you've given your flight number, knows exactly when you actually land.
Tips to save time
- Add your flight number when you book. If it's delayed, the pick-up adjusts automatically.
- If several of you are going to different neighbourhoods, add the stops when you book: it's cheaper than two taxis.
- Keep your phone handy when you land: we'll message you on WhatsApp to tell you where we are.
